Touchpad is gigantic
The touchpad on the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 is massive! It occupies nearly the entire vertical space between the space bar and the edge of the chassis. Despite the giant size, you can still move the cursor from corner to corner easily. The touchpad mechanism is stiff at the top and mushy at the bottom. You should use a wireless mouse instead of a touchpad for most tasks.
The Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 has a 6-cell battery with a 86WHr capacity. That means you can get about five hours of runtime and only need about two hours to charge it to 85%. It also features a fast-charging time, which makes it an ideal choice for business customers. It has a lot of other features to impress power users and creators.
The Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 is an excellent laptop for creative work, but the display is just a bit too big. Its screen is 16 inches wide, with a resolution of 3072×1920. The resolution is also identical to the Apple MacBook Pro 16’s. The screen is an IPS panel with 300 nits of brightness. The screen is also tall and 16:10, so it’s a good choice for watching movies or playing music.
Despite its massive size, the trackpad on the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 is smooth and haptic. The trackpad measures 5.2 inches by 3.5 inches and gives loud feedback when you press it. The palm rests are made of Mylar material and blend nicely with the trackpad. This makes it a comfortable laptop for working in a pinch.

If you’re into creating content on the go, the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 16″ Laptop is a perfect choice. Its 11th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU will provide an excellent viewing experience. Its 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD will allow you to enjoy smooth gaming and responsive video editing.
In terms of design, the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus has a fresh and modern look. It is an all-aluminum machine with chrome strips that separate the keyboard deck from the base. The design is sturdy and lightweight – it weighs only two kilograms, which is less than half the weight of the XPS 15 and a fraction of the size of the MacBook Pro 16.
For the price, the Inspiron 16 Plus is a great option. Its aluminum exterior and palm rest make it a great choice for everyday use. Both laptops have great performance and excellent battery life. However, they don’t have the same battery size. If you’re looking for a lightweight, powerful, and reliable laptop, the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus may be the best choice.
Performance
When compared to the competition, the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus is a capable workstation, but it doesn’t quite live up to its name. With an Intel Core i7-11800H processor and 16GB of RAM, this laptop is more than powerful enough to handle workstation tasks, media consumption, and gaming. Moreover, its big battery provides plenty of power to get the job done.
The Inspiron 16 Plus (7610) is one of the best laptops for the price. It has a great screen, but its HD webcam is mediocre. Full-time 3D artists will probably want to find an alternative. They’ll have more options to choose from, as other laptops support a stylus pen and carry other creator accessories. This laptop is not designed to run intensive 3D applications.
This laptop comes with an 11th-generation Intel Core i7-11800H processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 with 4GB of GDDR6. Additionally, the screen is 16 inches diagonal, giving you more screen space without the bulkiness of 17.3-inch laptops. Furthermore, the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 also offers a 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
While the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus isn’t the ultimate creator machine, it is an excellent option for budding content creators. While it may not offer the highest graphics cards or highest-end components, its solid-state drive and 3K display will help you achieve the goal of being a content creator. Nevertheless, the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 does come with a battery life that rivals many MacBook Pro models.
The performance of the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 has been well-received. It can run multiple high-end applications without overheating. Professional Instagram and YouTube creators can use Adobe editing apps without worrying about the performance of their laptops. Meanwhile, business customers can run multiple web browser tabs and stock-tracking apps without worrying about the hardware. However, for more demanding tasks, the laptop may need an upgrade in the hardware department.
The Dell Inspiron 16 Plus is equipped with a dual-speaker configuration. These speakers have good separation and provide excellent sound quality. The laptop’s webcam, however, is serviceable but not good. Unfortunately, this laptop doesn’t have an IR-enabled Windows Hello camera. Luckily, a fingerprint reader provides support for Windows Hello login. A good laptop should last at least two hours before running out of battery.
Port selection
The Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 offers a wide range of connectivity options. This laptop features an incredible 3K display and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Its touchscreen is capable of displaying 100% of the sRGB color gamut. Its port selection is plentiful, and it includes an optional Thunderbolt(TM) 4 port. The touchpad is large, too. There are also several USB 2.0 ports, including one that’s backed by an integrated fingerprint reader.
The Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 weigh 4.4 pounds, but it’s not a tablet. The performance is strong, but the battery life can be compromised by its large size. While it’s not quite as powerful as an iMac, it’s a great option for movie-watchers and game-players. The screen is 16 inches long, providing more screen real estate without the bulk of a 17.3-inch device.
While the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7610 offers more ports, the Dell XPS 15 still has a better port selection. The Dell Inspiron 16 Plus has one Thunderbolt 4 port but no standard USB-C. However, it does have two USB-A 3.2 ports, HDMI, 3.5mm audio, and an SD card reader. Both laptops are compatible with Thunderbolt 4 docks and hubs.
